He then enrolled at the DIM Music School in Mexico City and took formal classes under the direction of Liber Terán, vocalist of Los de Abajo. He later became a student of mezzo-soprano Ximena Moreno, with whom he remained for many years.
Meanwhile, he took private guitar and harmony lessons with Cuban maestro José Enrique Prieto, harmonica lessons with Federico Luna (Alfredo Olivas, Armando Manzanero), and television dubbing lessons with Daniel Abundis.
With his friends Julián André Toussaint and Jorge Chacón, he formed a band called “Ritalín” and performed with it at the prestigious “Vive Latino” Rock Festival, becoming the youngest vocalist to ever grace those stages.
When he was 16, he participated in the reality show “The Voice Mexico.” He captivated not only coaches Miguel Bosé and Beto Cuevas, who turned their heads when they heard him perform the bolero “Perfume de Gardenias,” but also the audience and thousands of television viewers.
At Miguel Bosé’s recommendation, he began studying operatic singing in 2013. In 2014, he made his debut in Giacomo Puccini’s opera Madama Butterfly, as Prince Yamadori, as part of the Children’s Opera Season at the Lunario of the National Auditorium. That same year, he also participated as a member of the Arpegio Choir in the “Alegría del Mundo” concert with the National Symphony Orchestra.
In 2018, he was invited to be the vocalist for the metal band Iden Gakusha, a role he alternated between 2018 and 2020 as a singer in “Alfonso André y Amigos Tributo a David Bowie.” For this, he formed a group with musicians such as Alfonso André and Rodrigo Baills (Caifanes), Avi Michel (Ritmo Peligroso), and Carlos Sustaita (Sin Bandera, Ana Torroja).
In 2021, he participated in the 50th anniversary concert of the “Avándaro” Festival, with the Polytechnic Institute Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Enrique Barrios.
Later, among other concerts, he accompanied Francisco Céspedes in the Tribute to Benny Moré, conducted by Irving Lara.
From 2022 to 2024, he joined Sin Bandera as a backing vocalist, a group he accompanied on the “Frecuencia Tour.”
He was invited as a backing vocalist and harmonica player with Leonel García for the “Pausa Tour” and the album “El Show.”
He is set to release his first solo album, “MEJIKAINDOFBLU,” in August 2025, produced by Pavel Cal and Noel Schajris on the Dynamo Productions label.
